Beyoncé is Black and SNL wants you to know.

This last week on Saturday Night Live, Mellissa McCarthy hosted and Kanye West performed but neither of them could hold a candle to SNL’s latest digital short “The Day Beyoncé Turned Black“.

The video is pretty much a spoof of what a lot of us in the black community have been saying since Beyoncé performed her new single Formation at this year’s Superbowl Halftime show. Which was a day after releasing the music video for Formation, which led to it now being called the anthem of BLACK LIVES MATTER movement.

Beyoncé, is not only superstar icon but a Black woman and she’s making it blatantly clear.

The opposition to her stance, in reveling in her black heritage, culture and it’s perservering excellence is absurd. Expecting one to forget who they are, where they came from especially when it involves a deep root like that of our Black history in America is inconceivably foolish and offensive.

The time has come to stop being politically correct, and instead blatantly honest. Which is what SNL did this weekend with “The Day Beyoncé Turned Black” digital short. It’s a nice way of telling the few white people who’ve found her performance and video offensive to get a clue instead of simply telling them to fuck off; that’s real sweat of you SNL.
